Best Fall Foliage Routes
The fall season is one of the best times of the year to take a relaxing vacation in New England. The hustle and bustle of summer vacationers has died down and you can really enjoy being able to unwind. If you plan a trip to New Hampshire, you do not want to miss traveling the back roads and viewing the spectacular foliage! Whether it is on the way to your destination or a separate travel route, you definitely want to plan a day to drive around and take in the sights of the beautiful mountains and changing leaves. The White Mountains are home to some of the best foliage views and mountain scenery. Here are some great places for leaf-peeping on your vacation:
Kancamagus Highway (Route 112 from North Conway to Lincoln)
- This highway will be sure to take your breath away. As you drive through the White Mountains, you will be greeted with an array of colors. Along the drive, there are places for you to pull over and snap photos of the breath-taking views or even to hike along trails in one of the many national forest parks.
